A hit and run in Brooklyn Park has sent one victim to the hospital with head trauma. The woman who hit the pedestrian has been found and charged.

On Thursday November 1, 2012, fifty seven year old Michael J. Diegel was attempting to cross the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Camrose Avenue a little after 12:30 a.m. He was then struck by a vehicle that proceeded to keep driving.

Diegel was found in the northbound lane of the highway by Maryland officials. He suffered severe head trauma and was immediately taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Later that day, the vehicle that hit Deigel was found and the owner of the vehicle was taken into custody. Fifty four year old Robbin L. Sears was charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
